On May 16, Kyiv hosted a round table on the occasion of Mother's Day. The event was attended by members of Parliament, prominent women of Ukraine, mothers of fallen Heroes from all regions of Ukraine, representatives of Ukrainian and international women community, representatives of Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Policy, Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Academy of Medical Sciences, representatives of foreign embassies in Ukraine and religious organizations. During two days (May 8 and 9) the heads of regional divisions of the NGO "Association of Wives and Mothers of Soldiers Participating in ATO» have worked, studied and had rest together. During the meeting, a plan for the next six months was made; the women learned to set goals correctly and shared their work experience in different regions. However, the most important thing that we realized again is a unified goal for all of us. It is a free, happy, independent Ukraine. For the sake of this very country, our Defenders gave their lives.
This year Ukraine is celebrating Volunteer Day for the second time. However, a few years ago, nobody could even imagine that such a date would appear in the calendar of events important for the country. Many events dedicated to the courage of Ukrainian soldiers are held by public activists and local authorities throughout the country. However, schoolchildren join such holidays in rare cases. A good exception to this rule is Kyiv secondary school #275, which is named after Volodymyr Kravchuk, a volunteer hero. The August issue of the newspaper "East and West together" will not leave anyone indifferent because it is dedicated to the anniversary of the Ilovaysk tragedy, which occurred three years ago, in August 2014. We would like to remind that during the battles 366 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, 429 were injured, 300 were captured, and 8 of them are still captured by DNR for the third year in a row. From October 26 to 28, representatives of the All-Ukrainian NGO "Association of Wives and Mothers of Soldiers Participating in ATO" participated in a three-day session of a strategic planning of activities.   The event was attended by 17 representatives of our organization from different parts of Ukraine, namely from Zhytomyir, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Vinnitsa, Khmelnitsky, Poltava, Cherkassy and, of course, Kyiv regions.   During the event, the central office of the Organization, together with the regional branches, defined a clear and distinct concept of our network activities.
